New TATRA 4×4 for fire-fighters in Hřensko

The voluntary fire-fighters in Hřensko have been the first to receive a T 815-7 CAS 30 S3R truck, a 4×4 fire-fighting and rescue vehicle built around the TATRA 815-721R52/371 chassis

The superstructure was produced by THT Polička. The vehicle was acquired through the Cross-border Cooperation Programme 2007 – 2013 between the Czech   Republic and the Free State of Saxony. Specifically this is cooperation between Hřensko and Kirnitzschtal.

Both local and Kirnitzschtal fire-fighters were present at the handover. Colonel Roman Vyskočil, the Regional Director of the Fire-fighting Rescue Brigade of the Ústí nad Labem Region and Colonel Otakar Jirků, the Director of the Regional Department of Děčín, came to view the TATRA vehicle as well. The new TATRA vehicle was also introduced in detail to the council of the municipality and region as well as to the general public. The ceremonial handover of the vehicle’s keys to the commander of the fire-fighting unit was performed by the Mayor of Hřensko in person.
